Video: Liquid cooled generator tour

Choosing between a liquid-cooled generator or an air-cooled generator is just one of the decisions to be made when selecting a standby power system. Watch a video tour by Generator Power Systems’ Chris Brade of a liquid cooled generator and see their distinct advantages

The difference is under the hood

The primary difference comes down to the engines. Air-cooled generators come with engines that use fans to force air across the engine for cooling, while liquid-cooled generators use enclosed radiator systems for cooling, similar to an automobile. Generally, liquid-cooled engines are used on larger kW generators due to the larger engines required for the higher power output. Watch Generator Power Systems’ Nancy Goodwin’s tour of an air-cooled generator.

Which is better for you? Air-cooled or liquid-cooled? It’s impossible to say for sure without first walking through your location. That’s why Generator Power Systems won’t quote a price before you get a site survey by one of our trained Power Specialists.
