No generator? It could be worse.

The only thing worse than having no generator in a power outage is getting through one with a gasoline powered generator. At least, that’s how Mike Webb feels.

“We were without power for eight days,” Webb recalls of the eight days he and his dogs suffered through without power during Hurricane Ike. “It was a mess.”

The gas generator was noisy. It required refueling—which meant powering down while adding gas to the tank. And then came the hassle of going out and finding gasoline.

“The worst part was the waiting,” says Webb. “Wondering…. which day will you get hooked back up. I didn’t want to go through it again.”

That’s why he called Generator Power Systems.

“Nancy (Goodwin) was great,” he says. “We met with two other companies and Generator Power Systems was not the cheapest. But, after meeting with the others, my mind was made up.”

Generator Power Systems’ hands-on approach helped give Mike a greater sense of confidence. Instead using of sales people who close a deal and hand off the customer to installers like other companies, Generator Power Systems power consultants see every project through from estimate to final test.

“Nancy wasn’t just selling something, she understood the process and kept in touch with me all the way through,” Webb says. “The electrician and plumber were great too: they saw potential issues early and handled them.”

Over the eight years he’s owned his home Mike has had many contractors in and out of his house. Generator Power Systems’ team were the best he’d seen.

“The other generator companies I spoke to said they could get me hooked up in a couple days,” recalls Webb. “Nancy shot straight, saying it would take 2-5 weeks right up front.”

His Kohler 20kw generator was installed and running well within that window just as promised.

“I couldn’t be more satisfied,” Webb happily ads. “I’m glad I chose Generator Power Systems.”
